I'm looking for information on my Great-Grandparents who lived in Derby, Kansas sometime between 1885 and 1920. Their names were WILBUR MARSH BEEBE & MARGARET ANN (ROWE) BEEBE. Their Children were: MARGARET JANE, EMMA FEAR, ROBERT WILLIAM, and CLARENCE JOHN. My information shows that Margaret Ann passed away sometime around 1899, and that an infant was stillborn at some point. Also the oldest daughter, Margaret Jane, passed away about 3 years later according to a news clipping I have. Is there any record of their deaths and causes? There will be no cemetery records on the two Margarets because their bodies were shipped to Illinois for interment. I found the family on the 1900 Census (Wilbur 39, Margie J. 14, Emma 12, Robert 10, Clarence 2) and 1910 census. Also, a neighbor lady, a Mrs. Canfield, helped take care of the children after their mother and oldest sister died. I guess one of my questions is "What drew them to Derby?". Any family connections in the records of Derby? And what did my grandfather do while there. He states his occupation is Farmer, but I don't see his name in the land owner list. Any and all information would be appreciated to help solve these mysteries.
