I am looking for information on the Jefferson family of Parsons, Labette, County. Alfred and Samantha J. (Marr) moved there from Illinois sometime in the late 1860 to early 1870. Some members of the family are buried in the Pleasant Hill cemetery (John and Etta May) but there may be others. A daughter, Rachel M, Married Samuel F. Goltra (Galtra). a son, Walter Alfred, (my Grandfather) moved to Oregon and became a gold miner and tradesman.
