I was in an antique shop in Salinas, CA on 15 January 2007.
I saw a 20" x 12" framed photo taken in Camp Funston (prior to being Ft. Riley)
It had the photos with the names of "Company A, 14th Calvary, Camp Funston". The photo was taken in 1941.

I didn't count but I would say there were about 80 pictures of thumbnail size, with the name below each man.
