Hello.

I'm trying to find anything I can about an Albert G. Thompson, my grandfather. After over 50 years of searching, all my family has is a marriage certificate issued in Coffey Co. on April 22, 1918. He married my grandmother, Julia F. Sheets from Burlington. Her birthday is supposed to be March 29, 1898 and may have been born there. She gave birth to my father, Lawrence Eugene Thompson. an only child, on December 12, 1921. Her parents lived in or around Burlington. Their names were John and Belle Sheets. Belle's maiden name was Cummings. All we ever got out of my grandmother about my grandfather was "He was gone before your father was born." Other information I have on Albert is a 1918 draft registration card stating his full name as Albert Gaston Thompson working in transportation and a date of birth at April 7, 1886. The 1920 Federal Census has him living in Chanute as a carpenter and shows his place of birth somewhere in Nebraska. Anything will help....SSI#, service #, relatives, anything at all. Thankyou. It's been a long long search.
