Hello I am looking for any information on the Charles P Johnson and Clayton A Johnson families who lived in Horton from about 1885 to 1910. Charles and Clayton both worked for the railroad. Their parents Augustus Johnson and Anna [Nichols] are lost somewhere in the 1890 black hole but may have lived here as well. The surname has also appeared as Johnston and Johnsson in different records.

Charles Page Johnson
Mary Ellen [Marvane(?)] Johnson
John C Johnson
Frank L Johnson
Charles A Johnson
Nellie L Jonson
Adda F Johnson
Robert Fitzsimmons Johnson
James Jefferies Johnson

Charles relocated with the railroad to Atchison, Atchison, KS in 1910, then to Grundy, MO around 1917. At least three sons also worked for the railroad which took them to Miles City, MT around the same time their parents moved to Missouri.

Clayton A Johnson
Martha J Johnson
Iva M Johnson
Loretta (Lauretta) N Johnson
Helen L Johnson

Clayton became a farmer in Whiting, Jackson, KS by 1910 where he seems to have remained.

If you have any information and/or are researching the same families I am, please contact me.
