Did David Rice Atchison live in Atchison County or is it just named for him. He was a distant relative but I have not been able to connect him. I believe it was thru his mother who was a Rice I have a bit of information that one of the Combs Girls was raised by the Rice Family. She would have been part of my Grandmothers family I think an aunt. Any information is appreciated sjam@hughes.net
