Looking for any additional information about this family.
They are listed in the 1880 Fed. census for Sumner Township,
Osborne County, KS. Martha's name is given as "Mary J." by
mistake. At this time they would have had 5 of their 6
children: Mary, Nellie, Jessie, William Jr., and Lenora. A
son Milton Oliver was born in the following year, 1881.

Martha Jane MCCLELLAN died in 1881 as near as I can tell.
I'm particularly looking for any death info, such as a
burial site. There are many McClellans in KS and many of
the men are named William or William Henry, but this is the
only family I know of that left KS directly for OR.

This Wm. H. McClellan was born in Ohio and moved to be with
his parents in KS after he mustered out of the 141st OH
infantry in 1864. He married (and presumeably met) Martha
in Troy, Doniphan Co. but there are no records of their life
there that I have yet found. He and Martha were my g-
grandparents.
