Richard Powell married Emma Elizabeth Bishop, and had children: William (died after 2 days in 1897(, Flossie 1898-1924), Artie (1901-1938) and John (1903?-?). Richard died in coal mine accident, unknown date. Emma died 1904. Artie and Flossie lived with aunt Harriett Powell Geddes. Artie worked as housekeeper for Doctor Beebe in Arma per 1930 census.
