NICHOLS family. I have found a stone for a Lt William B Nichols, 12 KS Infantry, in Olathe Memorial Cemetery, Johnson Co. KS. I cannot find him in any census records. Cutter's History of KS, Chapter 13, lists him as from Stanton. I assume this is Stanton in Linn Co. since the 12th Infantry mustered in from Paola. KS. Lt Isaiah Nichols was also from Stanton.
