I am researching my fathers family...the Hammans. My grandfather was Jacob Peter Hamman who lived in Cherryvale. He had a brother William who I believe lived in Pittsburg. He also had sisters Laura and Annie and another brother David. Their father was Phil Hamman and their mother Mary. They originally came to Kansas from Carlisle, Pa, through Nevada,Mo to Cherryvale.
