I am researching the Basdens who came from Richland Co. Il. to Cowley Co. Ks. Looking for specifically Martha Jane Basden, Henry Clifford Basden, Andrew Lowrey Basden. They came to Kansas around 1890 in a covered wagon. Martha's sister Addie had to walk the entire distance due to her mother being ill and pregnant. The parents were Lott Basden and Margaret Lucy Shirley. Martha was born abt. 1888 in Cowley Co. as was Andrew. Charles August Basden was born Nov. 1882 in Richland Co Il. There were a total of 9 children. Lott had died by the time the 1900 census had come out, leaving Margaret (Maggie) with 9 children to rear. I have information on all Martha's siblings but who I have mentioned above. Martha died in Wichita, Ks., I don't know when.
