My paternal great-grandmother was born Sarah Isabell Brown and was adopted at the age of 9 in 1884 by Charles Wood. She later married Mr. Wood after the death of his wife some years later. On her adoption record no parents are listed only an ad litem and the notation that her parents were not living. I am seeking any information on her.
