My GGG Grandfather was Henry Schlinger who was married to Albina Haupt. Albina's parents were Joseph & Rosalie Haupt from Zwittau, Austria. They also immigrated ti the Atchison/ Doniphan area. Perhaps the cousin Joe referenced was a Haupt, there was a John DOB 1867 and Mary DOB 1875 that lived a few doors down.
