I am looking for any information on the family of William L.Cornell. He and his wife Nellie first appear in census reports in Spring Hill Township, Johnson County, Kansas in the 1900 census. William is 45 years old, wife Nellie is 22, daughter Anna is 5. They have been married 3 years. Anna is possibly from an earlier marriage of William's. He was born in Illinois, his parents, James Kent Cornell (born in Ontario Canada) and Sallie (Sarah) Payson Cornell(born in NY) had a total of 15 children. William and his brother, James Barton Cornell were the only sons who lived to adulthood. 3 little boys died by age 3. I believe all the girls reached womanhood. I am still researching them as well. James Barton Cornell was my Great Grandfather.
