Hi I don't have too much on Leander but it is interestging that my great great grandfather's will is incorrectly indexed under your requested name of Leander McClelland. My gg grandfather's name is James Wemys McCallan haha. There is a small amount on Leander in St Joseph Mo at the genealogy society if you can get to there. What I have found by accident seeking my own line is that Leander was born abt 1834 He appears in the Kansas State census in 1855. Happy Hunting
