I am searching for information about James Barnett, B: 1823 Arkansas. I find him with wife Sarah A. B:1828 TN living as a farmer in 1870 Kansas Census, Cherokee County, Spring Valley. His children are Lucinda, Melissa J., James M., Nancy A. and Sarah C. Also living with them was his mother as a widow, Melissa Barnett, aged 84 B: TN.

I then found his son James M. Barnett B:1854 Arkansas living with his wife Mary Barnett in 1880 Kansas Cherokee County, Spring Valley Dist 52, and their daughter Lillie C Barnett and James Jr's widowed mother Sarah A, age 54 +- born TN.

I cannot find anything more on James Barnett Sr and need more concrete info to link my Barnett family to them. Perhaps he, his wife or mother is buried in Spring Valley?

I have been searching for a very long time and any guidance or tips are truly appreciated!
