Thank you Charlotte.
Where might I find obits from 1885 for Osborne County, Tilden Township or Lawrence Creek Township? He was a Methodist minister and farmer in Iowa when they moved to Osborne Co. after 1870 and was there up to 1885, then they all seemed to vanish. I do not know if he was a Methodist minister at the time he was in Kansas. Where would I find a listing of all Methodist churches in Osborne County? I do not know if any of his childern were married or to who. His children are.
Ella A. Brown F b. 1853
Charley C.Brown M b. 1854
Ellen Brown F b. 1856
Sarah (Sadie)Brown F b. 1857
Florence Brown F b. 1859
Chester L.Brown M b. 1860
Alma F. Brown F b.1863
Alta Brown F. b. 1868.
All the birth dates are estimated and taken from 1880 census. The 1880 census marks Alma as being blind. This is a hard nut to crack. They seem to just have disappeared. I wonder if they were wiped out by some dread disease?

Thanks for any help you or any one can give me on this puzzle. If any one would in Osborne Co. would want to do a research on this family I would be happy to reimburse them for any expenses incurred and time spent.
Regards
