I am researching the names EWERT and GARVERICK in Kansas. My great grandfather, Aaron GARVERICK removed from Allen county, Indiana sometime between August 1876 and March 1881. This would have been between the birth of two sons. His wife was Elizabeth EWERT.

I have some writings from my grandmother, Nellie GARVERICK, b:13 June 1886 in Pawnee Rock, Barton County, Kansas. In these writings it indicates that the EWERT and GARVERICK families may have traveled together to Kansas. It also mentions that Aaron had a large herd of cattle at Pawnee Rock and they were all frozen to death in a snowstorm. After this loss, the family removed to Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas where Aaron went into the real estate business.

Any help on these families would be greatly appreciated
