My great-grandmother Martha E. (nee SNOW) SIMONS is listed twice in the Kansas 1870 census. She is listed in Wichita Twp in Sedgwick County with her parents. She is also listed with her husband (Charles SIMONS) and 4 month old child in Center Twp Marion County. (I know that it is not uncommon for this type of thing to occur with the census.)

I will be in Wichita for a few days later this month and want to do some research into this situation. I especially want to concentrate on any records that are not available on the Internet since this will probably my only chance in a long time to do so.

I am looking for suggestions on what records to look at and where they might be held.
