Neither one of these RANKIN males is listed in the on line records for Johnson County, KS. Look here as there are a number of other RANKIN males listed.

Based on age, it is likely that Johntan (sp) and Sarah were married in the late 1840s to 1850s, which is a bit early for marriage records in Kansas. The Kansas Territory was formed in 1855, so no records exist prior to that time. Where did they come from when they moved to KS?

Post the death dates, and I will check for obituaries at the Johnson County Library.
