Hello,
I am looking for any information on the Robert Rutter family who lived in Rice County between 1878 and 1889.

The family is listed in the 1880 Federal Census.

Of particular interest:
1) Robert Rutter was a farmer. What land did he farm?
It is my understanding that he homesteaded some land in Rice County. If so where was it?

2) Three children are listed in the 1880 Census: Sarah 10, Lawrence 3, and Mary 3 mos. Sarah moved west to Washington with her father in 1889. What became of Lawrence and Mary?

3) Robert's wife's name in the 1880 census is hard to read but it appears to be "Leveina". Her maiden name was Allen. Other Sources identify her as "Matilda" Allen Rutter. Both she and Robert came from Pennsylvania. From another source I've learned she died in Kansas in 1889. Can anyone tell me when and where she died? Where is she buried? Are there any death records? Are there any obituaries?

4) From another source I've learned that Robert and "Leveina" Rutter had a total of seven children. Three children are mentioned in the 1880 census (Sarah, Lawrence and Mary). I know of two other children, Clyde E Rutter (1882-1900) and Samuel Vernon Rutter (1886-1905). Both of these children died in Skagit County Washington. This brings a total of five known children. I'd like to identify the two missing children. What were their names and life years? Where are they buried?

5) "Leveina's" parents were William and Sarah Allen who are also included in the 1880 census in Rice County Kansas. Any information on them would be helpful too.

Thank you for any help.
