Can the Bartel family name be traced back to Menno Simon's homeland of Friesland, or were the Bartels originally from Holland,Germany, Prussia or Switzer;and? At what point did the Bartel Family join the Mennonite Church? Is Bartel a German name?

Does anybody know or is there a way to find out?
