I'm looking for information regarding a murder / suicided involving an L V Hollyfield and wife Diana E (Simmons) Hollyfield in Montgomery County, Kansas about April 22, 1887. Diana was a granddaughter of John A and Catherine Wineinger of Dubois County, Indiana. She moved to Montgomery County and married L V Hollyfield. He shot her in an apparent disagreement over an inheritance from her grandfather's estate. Any account of the incident or her obituary, or how to obtain either would be much appreciated. Thanks.
