I know next to nothing of my grandfather Charles Samuel Rhine. He spelled his last name Ryan for business purposes. He married Bertha Reed and they had 2 children, Dorothy DeeEtte (who later died of measles) and Charles Melvin Rhine, my father. Charles S died 2 months before my dad was born. I believe he died in Wichita, KS. where he and Bertha were living at that time. I think he died in October of 1910. I think Charles S was a salesman of some sort. I know nothing of his family, where he was from, what kind of salesman he was. Bertha was from Kinsley. She and her family attended the Church of Christ, just down the street from their home.
