Mary Long Stout (born 1854 Iowa) was wife of Henry Stout.
She had 5 daughters Florence, Minnie, Maggie, Nellie and Merta. Merta born July 4, 1884 and Mary died 2 weeks after Merta's birth. The only mention of this is what I have found in Cloud Co History, pages 659-660.

1880 US Census-Henry and Mary Stout in Sheridan, KS. Looking for site of Mary's burial, death certificate. Want to know parents etc. Most important Henry gave Mertie to Sarah and R D Joiner, of Cortland, NY-Illinois in 1880-Mitchell KS in 1875, back in Cortland NY by 1893. to raise.
I want badly to find connection between Mary/Henry and the Sarah Smith Joiner and her husband RD. You don't just hand kids over to strangers to raise. Mertie grew up in NY and visited her sisters in KS a lot. Have good photos of it. Mertie's grandaughter is ill with cancer and I would love to give her this information before she dies.
