Fred Hicks was born in Canton, OH. His father, Philemon Hicks was born in
1844 in Blair county, PA, and was supposedly a friend of President William
McKinley when both were young.

Maggie Hicks was probably born in Anderson county, as her two older
siblings were born there. I don't have any info on where the family was
before that.

Are you descended from Edna Hicks and John Andrew Shimp?
