I am seeking information on the families of Katherine (Catherine or Kate) Huffman - of Riley County - who married Henry (Heinrich) A. Grabhorn - of Riley County - 18 January 1883 at the ME Parsonage by Rev. CG Crysler. Henry was born about 1857 in Minnesota to Barnhardt (Bernhart) Grabhorn and Hanna (Hannah) Kuhne. I have no information about the family of Katherine except that she was listed as an heir to Phebe (Phoebe) D. Huffman in 1887 in Marshall County, Kansas. The Legal Notice read: "To whom it may concern, but more especially to Frank W. Huffman, Fanny B. Huffman, Oscar C. Huffman, Nellie V. Huffman, Effie Huffman, Cora A. Huffman, Herbert Huffman, Lorry B. Huffman, Pheba A. Huffman, John B. Tritt, Lora Tritt, Catharine B. Grabhorn, Henry Grabhorn, heirs at law and guardians's ad-litem of heirs, at law of Phebe D. Huffman, deceased, late of Marshall county, Kansas. . ." I know that Henry and Katherine went to Dillon, Montana, and have records that some other Huffmans and Tritts lived there at the time. Katharine was reported murdered by Henry about 29 July 1887. I have information on the Grabhorn family (A sister of Hanna (Friedericke) married John Fryhofer and another sister (Caroline) married George Grabhorn, and there should still be relatives of them in the area. Henry's sister, Louise, married a Cunningham there and when he died she married Horace Nungesser. Their daughter was my grandmother.
