From CITY OF THE PLAINS compiled by Phyllis Swanson, there is an entry regarding the Walsburg School as written by Kevin Larson, a local school teacher and historian who probably has the most information about the school. It was organized in 1870 and closed at the end of 1959. As a member of the Walsburg church, I remember attending Vacation Bible School there in the 1960s. It was torn down, I believe, in the mid 1960s.
