Please tell me if I am in the wrong County!!!

I am researching (from the UK) the CORDLEY family who came to the US from England in 1833. I have seen from some on-line indexes that the 1870 Census refers to Frank CORDLEY and Richard CORDLEY in Kansas.

There is also a reference to the marriage of Richard CORDLEY to Mary Ann COX in Hamburg, MI, Kansas in 1859

Since I have no easy access to this information I wondered if anyone can let
me know what the census and marriage records say for these people - and any family references?
I am also looking for a Maggie CORDLEY (adopted by Richard and Mary Ann
CORDLEY) and would be interested to know her original name.

I have discovered that Rev Richard CORDLEY was very involved in the early days of Kansas and Lawrence in particular.

Also on a 1895 map of Kansas there is a town called CORDLEY - does anyone
have any history about that? And also whether the CORDLEY Elementary School
in Lawrence was named after this family - and if so why?

I would be most grateful for any help...
