I am searching for information on the CARTWRIGHT family that lived in Bazine during the 1880s. Christopher CARTWRIGHT (b. 11/20/1840 Pike Co, OH) and Rebecca A. KERR (CARR) (b. 2/23/1840 Gallia Co, OH) moved to Bazine bet. 1870-1880 from Decatur Co, IA. Their children were Myrtle (b. 7/10/1868), Harry Logan (b. 7/3/1872), Christopher "Kit" Carson (b. 7/23/1873), Luther "Lou" Edward (b. 11/17/1877) and Anna Ellen (b. 10/3/1880). Christopher CARTWRIGHT disappeared in the Summer 1887. Rebecca (KERR) CARTWRIGHT died on October 2, 1887 in Bazine, possibly in a fire. The four youngest children returned to Iowa to live with family. Myrtle CARTWRIGHT remained in Ness Co. (or returned?) and married Linus L. SCOTT on July 11, 1890 in Ness County.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
