I've got a copy of The History of Chautauqua County, Vol I that has some info about Samuel and Nancy Todd. The article states that Sam was a farmer and a preacher. Four sons, Francis, Joseph, Israel and Enoch came west, daughter Margaret and sons Calvin and Jesse stayed in Illinois. The names match, but this article, written by Naydene Halderman, states that Israel was married to Clara Main.
