I am searching for more information on the following people who once lived, some died in Jackson County, KS:
1. Nathan C. McCoy who lived there from about 1860-1870+. His first wife Mary died there. He married 2nd: Maria Coyle/Coil Hollis the widow of Joseph A. Hollis who died in the Civil War. Maria and Nathan married in 1870, but found him unmarried in 1880 in Marshall County, KS
2. Need information on any Newman and Bradley families of Jackson County.
3. Need information on any Olmstead/Olmsted and Christie/Christy families of Jackson County.
4. Nathan had a daughter by the name of Elizabeth who married several times. First to a John P. Bailey who died while on furlough doing the Civil War in 1863. They had two children: James Luther and Mary Ellen. Later in 1863 she married a John Christie/Christy. Later she married a Joseph/Jobe Olmstead/Olmsted. One child: Fiana/Annie
Then she married back in Mahaska County, IA a William Wells. One child: Maggie who later married a Scriven and settled? in Nebraska.
Then last she married a Mason Gillum Giles in Marshall County, KS.
She, John P. Bailey, her son James Luther, her second husbandJohn Christie/Christy, her father Nathan C. McCoy and her mother Mary,and her sister Lydia McCoy Newman are all buried in Jackson County in Holton Cem.
