About 1915 a Mrs. Bitler was living in Olpe, Lyon Co. KS. A young lady named Edna Burcham was caring for her children. Edna's mother died in childbirth in OK and she brought her 4 sisters Georgia, Minnie, Anna Vera and the newborn babygirl Lillian Dunegan (Dunnigan) to Mrs. Bitler's. The baby died soon after and was buried in a Catholic Cemetery with a black cross because she had not been sprinkled. She may have been listed as Lillian Burcham or Lillian Dunegan. I would like to find that cemetery. If you can help it would be appreciated. The 3 girls were then taken in by others and I would like to find who raised them. Georgia could have been taken in by someone named Pat - possibly a Dunegan. She referred to a grandmother named Amanda. Any help would be appreciated. Georgia and Minnie were enrolled in Chanute school in 1917 but didn't stay. baflowers@aol.com
