I have MCDONALD's who went to Kansas in 1868 and were discovered on the 1875 State Census.

They started out in Auglaize Co, OH and returned to OH as they had another child there in 1876 and showed on the co census in 1880.
A real shot in the dark here, does any one have any family that may have moved to Kansas with this family in 1868 (aprox)from Auglaize County in Ohio? They lived in the town of Wapakoneta in OH. An aunt to Lucy Smith, Rhoda Smith, nee Smith was also with them. Rhoda was married to Peter, but I don't think he was with them, during the 1875 census.
