I am seeking information on my great grandparents, Handy Keep CURTIS and his spouse Sophia SARGEANT and any of their descendants. The 1900 census lists them as residents of Chautauqua County, KS. They resided in Cedar Vale, KS with two of their daughters, Miss Olive (AKA Ollie) CURTIS, and Miss Cora CURTIS. it also lists a grandson, Clemmer, who was only 3 months old at the time of the census. his mother died in childbirth, and he was living with his grandparents and two aunts. The census states that Handy and Sophia had seven children, six of which were living at the time of the census. I only know of four, so any additional information here would be a big help.

Miss Ollie, and Miss Cora CURTIS are listed in a 1901 souvenir booklet from the "Gem City of the Sunflower State", Cedar Vale, KS as residents of Cedar Vale, but I see no mention of their parents, Handy and Sophia. I am seeking obituary or burial information on these four CURTIS family members, as well as any others that may have also lived in the area.
