I'm trying to find information about my GG-grandparents.

My gg-grandfather John Jenkins who, according to the family bible, was born April 19, 1837 (place unknown), and died November 08, 1917 on the Jenkins farm in Brown Co, Kansas, according to my father.

On March 06, 1862 (place unknown) John married Mary Elizabeth Frogge, who was born July 15, 1842 (place unknown), and died August 19, 1890 (place unknown).

Other information in the Family Bible:

On Nov 12, 1885 John received a letter from Joseph Schlitzbaum, Office of the County Clerk, Troy, Doniphan Co, KS, containing a draft for Election expenses. A pencil note on the back says it is pay to Judges & Clerks for services in the election. John received $400 and 5 others received $200 each.

In 1889 John ordered 10 Apple trees, 5-6 feet tall, costing $3.25, to be delivered from The Fairbury Nurseries in Fairbury, Nebraska to Severance, Kansas. (Receipt in Family Bible)

I have also no information on the parents nor siblings of either John or Mary.
