Dawson Seals b. 1802 in Hawkins Co, Tennessee, by 1854 had moved to Vermilion County, Illinois, by way of Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana. One of his sons was Dawson T. Seals b. abt 1840 in Tennessee. Dawson T. Seals married Marilla Jenny (or Jenny Marilla) May on 21 Dec 1861. They had sons Morton and Francis. They are on the 1880 Vermilion County census. At some point, I don't know when, Dawson left his family and went to Chautauqua County, Kansas, and remarried. I don't know the name of his second wife or of any children they might have had. Dawson's son Morton died in Chautauqua, Kansas on 7 Jul 1912.
