Hi,

I'm looking for descendants of, and information on, the BLOSS family in Clay Co. My ggggrandfather, Hiram Bloss, was born Feb 8, 1815 in NY or PA. He died July 22, 1893, and is buried in the cemetery in Clay Center, KS. His wife was Lucinda Mary Parker (known as Mary). Their children were Amanda Josephine Bloss, married to Thomas Gunn Ryan, and Susannah Bloss, married to Jonathan Dixon. There may have been other children.

At least two of Hiram's siblings lived in Clay Co, as well. His brother, Isaac S Bloss, first married Nancy McKnight, then her sister, Jane McKnight. Hiram and Isaac's sister was Lovisa Bloss, married to Harrison Kelly. Lovisa spent her last years living with her son, Professor D S Kelly, a teacher at the State Normal School in Emporia.
