Although I have no known connection to the Kessel family, I have been researching Osborne Co and one of the townships where I have ancestors is Hawkeye. The name sounded a little familiar. I happen to have a copy of a page of the 1920 census where I found some of my HAHN family. I just checked though my copies to see if I could find Kessel and I did! It could be either Kessel or Kissel, but most interesting to me is listed a daughter, Violet. It looks like her age is 14 at the time. Could this be your Violetta? Her father is Wilber and the mother is listed as Anna or Inna. You may already have this, but I will e-mail you also. Other siblings are also listed.
