I am looking for information about my 7th generation American Huntington ancestor. His name was Samuel Huntington. His father was Elisha Huntington of Mexico, NY, Watertown, NY and Tolland, CT. Samuel was born in Tolland, CT, May 9, 1789. The Huntington Family Book states that Samuel was in Kansas in 1857. He may have been in IL before going to Kansas. I believe there is a pension record from Douglas Kansas. His wife in NY was Elmira Ann Buck who died about 1831. The Buck family that raised his son, Seth Phinney Huntington, in NY were Quakers and abolitionists
