Argonia, Kansas is in Sumner County,
KS. The county seat is Wellington. There
is a considerable library and museum at
Wellington. There were quite a number of
Quakers living there at one time, and a
Friends Meeting House still there.
Argonia had the first woman mayor in the
U.S. I believe.
