I had a great-aunt who moved from Virginia about 1908 to Powhattan, KS. The family later reported that they moved to what they called "Indian Territory" or an "Indian Reservation". Was Powhattan known as either one of these? She supposedly married George Bumgardner there in 1908. Would that be recorded anywhere?
Some many questions and I live so far away.
