There is an Ed Valek still living in Republic County who was a School Board member for Wayne School Dist #3 in Grant Township, Republic County. There were members of the Havel family who attended the Wayne School: Billy Max, age 5 in 1933; Gladys, age 13 in 1944; Shirley Lee, age 6 in 1943; and Shirley, age 13 in 1953.
