Well, if I had read one message further, I'd have had an answer. Sorry about that.

You might check out vital records in Topeka, KS (Vital Records, State Office Building) for the marriage license. You have the names, date, and place. They should be able to find the info for you and you will have a copy for $10.

You can also check with the Belleville Library to see if they have any high school yearbooks for Republic High School.

The Republic County Courthouse in Belleville and the Republic County Museum (Hiway 36) in Belleville are worth taking the time to write to.

Also - you might want to check out http://www.ksgenweb.org/republic/Swedish/SRCHSITE.html -- although a lot of this is for Swedes, there is a large amount of search areas, regardless of the surname.

I know that it takes a lot of time to write these places, rather than finding it on the Net; but they have been extremely helpful for me.
