Found that Nicholas moved back to New York with his son, John from Wayne Township, Kansas between 1860 and 1865. I knew Nicholas and his son lived temporarily with his son-in-a-law, Peter Reichenberger in Doniphan City or Wayne Township in 1860. I am not sure if Nicholas' wife, Margaretha (Karl) arrived Doniphan City and died shortly or died in New York before her husband and son moved to Kansas. I guess Nicholas and his son might be buried in New York
