Hi Bertha, I just read you query and am interested to know your SPENCER connection.
I am a SPENCER born in Olathe, Johnson County, KS. My father, Chester Eugene, was also born there and buried at Oaklawn Cemetary in Olathe. I still have SPENCER relatives living there. My grandfather was Albert who was born in Mount Vernon, OH, while they were traveling from NY. He had a twin sister Gertrude and two younger brothers, Charley and Mart, born either in MO or KS.
I went to HS in Gardner, and there is a James family there. One of my classmates married John James. Any relation?
The only name you list that is familiar is SMALLWOOD, though I am not sure why, but none are names in my family that I am aware of.
