CATTIN, Dr. I.C. may have been my great grandfather. My grandmother's maiden name was Ella Beatrice Cattin and her father, I was told as a boy, was a physician who treated both federal and southern soldiers during the Civil War.

I have documented proof from the Carl Albert Center, Clarke Collection, that Dr. I.C. Cattin resided in Eureka, Kansas in Greenwood County in the year 1867. I have the copy of a very short letter he wrote to the Patent Office requesting information.

I am seeking information on Dr. I.C. Cattin. Specifically, what did he do and what were the names of his children. My grandmother was born in 1871, location unknown to me. I would appreciate any information anyone might have.

Respectfully,

Stephen Smith
