Ida, Kansas (Rose Creek Township) is now extinct.

Ida Cemetery is in Section 26 of Rose Creek Township. You may be able to write to Republic County Courthouse in Belleville and get information from the lady who has the cemeteries of Republic County indexed.

From THE HISTORY OF REPUBLIC COUNTY, published by the Belleville Telescope, 1976:

The now non-existant town of Ida was located in Rose Creek Township, section 23-24-25, according to the Republic County Atlas of 1884. The town was laid out in the early 1870s.

Pg. 47: Six pupils attended school for the 1961-62 term. They were: Colleen Trzicky, Linda Dusek, Verlee Blecha, Sharon Moore, Lynn Blecha and Shirley Moore. The Moore family is the only family that has lived in the district since the beginning.

Pg. 48: School Board members of Rose Creek Township in 1895: Whitelock Dist 90 S. E. Segrist, P. A. Throne and W. H. Moore.

Rose Creek Township:

C. P. Moore (Spring Dale Farm) owns 160 acres in Section 29.

If you want to know more about the Moore and their land holdings, you can give the above information on C. P. Moore to the Republic County Courthouse in Belleville and they can trace the land records with copies to you for a small fee.
