wondering if some kind soul could and would check the 1900 census for Johnson County, Gardner area, to see exactly what the state of birth actually says for these two gentlemen, married to Duffield sisters, Catherine and Elizabeth.

I haven't been able, yet, to tie them to a known West Virginia McAvoy family, but I suspect they must be, eventually.
