Hale is in the north east corner of the county in Salt Creek township.

this URL will take= you to
an overview of the county and by scrolling down a page or so you will find a
map of the county with Hale in the NE corner.

  this URL will take
you to
the home page for the KSGenWeb Chautauqua county web site. There you will= find
a link to the county cemeteries, by following this link you will find that
there is a John H. Burks interred in the West Liberty  cemetery which is
only a
few miles from Hale.

The cemetery listing also indicates his wife Laura M. is buried there also.

Wishing you good luck with your research.
